The Windows demo of Unreal Tournament 2k4 has been released! Here are some mirrrors:

The Linux client demo has been released, Not many mirrors yet, you can grab it from Icculus.org's ut2k4 project page. Also on that page is the Mac demo if your into that sort of thing.

Actually the ut2k4 special edition is the dvd release version. I pre-ordered it from gamestop a month ago, I heard it is almost impossible to get the dvd version anymore.

Although bestbuy is always a week behind on videogame orders. I was there yesterday and they didn't have any version of ut2004 yet. I was also told they get video games in on wednsday. so they might have them by then.

I think eventually they will release a non special edition dvd version .

With the size of these new games going beyond that of 2 CDs, DVD readers are going to become a necessity like how CD-ROMs took over in place of floppy disks back in the day.
